Iran Is My Voice of Love — Persian Carpet Hafez Calligraphy Canvas

In Iran Is My Voice of Love — Persian Carpet, a verse by Hafez becomes part of the rug itself. Ivory-white Persian calligraphy sweeps across a weathered carpet field of lapis blue and madder red, where gold arabesques, palmettes and a rosette border frame the outline of Iran's map, cracked and worn like an old fresco. Heritage, homeland and love are woven into a single composition that feels inherited rather than simply hung.

A Persian Carpet, Reimagined

This is a new color edition of our original Iran Is My Voice of Love. Where the original is soft and airy in gray, gold and white, this version takes its palette from the classical Persian carpet — deep blues, warm reds and burnished gold — while keeping the same flowing calligraphy, with the second line of the verse traced in fine gold script around it.

Poetry and Meaning

Hafez places the language of love above every other sound — the one remembrance that endures beneath the turning heavens. Set over the map of Iran and the pattern of a Persian rug, the line reads as a love letter to a homeland and its living culture.

Featured Persian verse:

از صدای سخن عشق ندیدم خوشتر
یادگاری که در این گنبد دوّار بماند

Poet: Hafez (حافظ شیرازی), Ghazal 178.

Meaning: I have heard no sound sweeter than the words of love—the remembrance that remains beneath this turning dome.

Designed for Meaningful Spaces

With its rich, saturated palette, this canvas anchors a living room, dining room, study or entryway, and sits naturally beside Persian rugs, dark wood, brass and warm textiles — or gives a calm, neutral room one strong focal point. It is a meaningful gift for Nowruz, a housewarming, a wedding, or anyone who carries Iran in their heart.
