Rumi's Poems — Minimal Persian Calligraphy Canvas

Created as meaningful Persian wall art, Rumi's Poems brings flowing Persian calligraphy into a modern setting. Its restrained contemporary palette gives the artwork enough presence to anchor a room while leaving space for the poetry, symbolism, and personal associations to remain central.

Poetry and Meaning

Rumi's Poems opens with one of Rumi's most musical ghazals (Divan-e Shams, Ghazal 37), often sung in Persian classical music. The Beloved is called friend, cave of refuge, heart-consuming love, guardian — and, in the lines that follow, Noah and the spirit, the drop and the ocean. The calligraphy itself carries the rhythm of the words.

یار مرا غار مرا عشق جگرخوار مرا
یار تویی غار تویی خواجه نگهدار مرا
نوح تویی روح تویی فاتح و مفتوح تویی

Translation: My friend, my cave, my heart-devouring love;
you are the friend, you are the cave — master, keep me safe.
You are Noah, you are the spirit, the opener and the opened.
