About the artwork

In Flying Enthusiasm, Persian visual culture is interpreted through expressive figurative imagery together with flowing Persian calligraphy. The composition balances a contemporary palette, texture, and negative space to create a contemporary canvas with a clear focal point and a lasting emotional presence.

Poetry and Meaning

Forough Farrokhzad contrasts the mortality of the bird with the endurance of flight, turning freedom, memory, and creative motion into a lasting imperative.

Featured Persian line:

پرواز را به خاطر بسپار؛ پرنده مردنی‌ست

Poet: Forough Farrokhzad (فروغ فرخزاد), from “The Bird Is Mortal.”

Meaning: Remember the flight; the bird is mortal.

Designed for Meaningful Spaces

Flying Enthusiasm is well suited to a home, office, hospitality setting, creative studio, or meaningful gift display. Its balanced contemporary palette works with calm interiors that benefit from a culturally meaningful focal point, and its cultural focus makes it a thoughtful gift for a wedding, housewarming, Nowruz, birthday, or anyone connected to Persian art.
