Happy with You — Rumi Persian Tile Portrait Canvas

In Happy with You, Persian visual culture is interpreted through expressive figurative imagery together with Persian tile and mosaic-inspired details. The composition balances balanced contemporary palette, texture, and negative space to create a contemporary canvas with a clear focal point and a lasting emotional presence.

Poetry and Meaning

Happy with You comes from Rumi's ghazal “Bi man maro” — “Don't go without me” (Divan-e Shams, Ghazal 2195). This world is sweet with you and the next world is sweet with you, the poet says; so do not be without me in this world, and do not leave for the next without me. The portrait gives the words a human face.

این جهان با تو خوش است و آن جهان با تو خوش است
این جهان بی من مباش و آن جهان بی من مرو

English translation:
This world is sweet with you, and the next world is sweet with you;
in this world, don't be without me — and to the next, don't go without me. — Rumi, Divan-e Shams, Ghazal 2195
