About the artwork

Hope to Join You turns Hafez's hope of union into contemporary Persian wall art. Through flowing Persian calligraphy, the piece creates visual movement while preserving the cultural character at the center of the design.

Poetry and Meaning

Hope to Join You quotes Hafez's Ghazal 300: it is the hope of being with you that keeps me alive — otherwise, every moment apart from you would carry the fear of death. The portrait gives the words a human face.

مرا امید وصال تو زنده می‌دارد
و گر نه هر دمم از هجر توست بیم هلاک

English translation:
The hope of union with you keeps me alive;
otherwise, every breath apart from you would be the fear of death. — Hafez, Ghazal 300

Designed for Meaningful Spaces

Hope to Join You is well suited to a home, office, hospitality setting, creative studio, or meaningful gift display. Its black and white palette works with calm interiors that benefit from a culturally meaningful focal point, and its cultural focus makes it a thoughtful gift for a wedding, housewarming, Nowruz, birthday, or anyone connected to Persian art.
