Iran Is My Voice of Love — Antique Slate Hafez Calligraphy Canvas

In Iran Is My Voice of Love — Antique Slate, a verse by Hafez rises from a Persian carpet that time has turned almost to stone. Ivory-white Persian calligraphy sweeps across a weathered field of slate gray and deep teal, warmed by traces of rust and copper, while gilded arabesques, palmettes and a faded rosette border frame the cracked outline of Iran's map. The mood is quiet and timeless, like a fragment of an old palace wall rediscovered.

Heritage in a Muted Palette

This is a new color edition of Iran Is My Voice of Love. Alongside the airy gray-gold-white original and the rich blue-and-red Persian Carpet edition, the Antique Slate version offers the most understated look of the three: the same flowing calligraphy and gold-script second line, set in softened, aged tones that let the verse take the lead.

Poetry and Meaning

Hafez places the language of love above every other sound — the one remembrance that endures beneath the turning heavens. Written over the map of Iran and the worn pattern of a Persian rug, the line becomes a quiet tribute to a homeland and the culture that outlives time.

Featured Persian verse:

از صدای سخن عشق ندیدم خوشتر
یادگاری که در این گنبد دوّار بماند

Poet: Hafez (حافظ شیرازی), Ghazal 178.

Meaning: I have heard no sound sweeter than the words of love—the remembrance that remains beneath this turning dome.

Designed for Meaningful Spaces

Its muted slate, teal and gold tones suit modern, Scandinavian, industrial and wabi-sabi interiors as easily as traditional ones, pairing well with gray or concrete walls, natural oak, linen and black metal. Hang it in a living room, office, study or hallway where you want depth without loud color. It is a thoughtful gift for Nowruz, a housewarming, a wedding, or anyone connected to Persian poetry and Iran.
