Jaan Bebar — Rumi Blue Whirling Dancer Canvas

Let Jaan Bebar become a meaningful focal point in your space. This contemporary Persian canvas uses a graceful sense of movement together with flowing Persian calligraphy, supported by a blue palette, to translate a familiar poetic or cultural idea into an expressive visual story.

Poetry and Meaning

Jaan Bebar draws on a joyful ghazal from Rumi's Divan-e Shams (Ghazal 3164). “Drunk and happy — where did you drink this wine? What is this new moon you have brought?” the poet asks the Beloved; and the soul pleads: take me, too, where you have taken my heart. The dancing figure turns the words into movement.

مست و خوشی باده کجا خورده ای؟ این مه نو چیست که آورده ای؟
ساغر شاهانه گرفتی به کف گلشکر نادره پرورده ای
پردهٔ ناموس کی خواهی درید؟ کآفت عقل و ادب و پرده ای

English translation:
Drunk and happy — where did you drink this wine? What is this new moon you have brought?
You hold a royal goblet in your hand; you have made a rare rose-sweet.
Whose veil of reputation will you tear next — you, the bane of reason, manners and veils? — Rumi, Divan-e Shams, Ghazal 3164

Designed for Meaningful Spaces

Jaan Bebar is well suited to an entryway, reading corner, office, bedroom, or focused feature wall. Its blue palette works with neutral, warm, and carefully layered interiors, and its cultural focus makes it a thoughtful gift for a wedding, housewarming, Nowruz, birthday, or anyone connected to Persian art.
